Kenny Perez
Kenny Perez is the co-founder of Andean Explorer Tours and brings together a lifelong passion for adventure travel, cultural connection, and authentic experiences in Peru. Originally connected to the rich heritage of Cusco, Kenny now lives in New South Wales with his family, giving him a unique perspective on what international travellers are looking for when exploring South America. His goal is to create meaningful journeys that combine comfort, adventure, and genuine local interaction.
With years of experience in tourism and expedition-style travel, Kenny is dedicated to helping travellers discover the true spirit of Peru beyond the typical tourist routes. From the ancient wonders of Machu Picchu to remote Andean communities and the Amazon rainforest, he believes travel should inspire, educate, and support local communities. Through Andean Explorer Tours, Kenny works closely with local guides, families, and organisations to ensure every journey leaves a positive impact on both travellers and the people they meet along the way.
Mauricio Alarico
Mauricio Alarico is the co-founder of Andean Explorer Tours and a proud local from Cusco with deep roots in the culture and traditions of the Andes. After spending more than 20 years living in Holland, Mauricio returned to Cusco to reconnect with his heritage and share his extensive knowledge of Peru with travellers from around the world. His international background and local expertise allow him to create experiences that are both culturally immersive and professionally organised.
Passionate about history, mountain culture, traditions and sustainable tourism, Mauricio has spent many years guiding visitors through Peru’s most iconic destinations and hidden gems. He takes pride in introducing travellers to authentic Andean traditions, local cuisine, and the stories behind the ancient Inca civilisation.
